Paula lives, works and plays in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia, Canada. I am a licensed ICF certified Coach, and BCCSW Registered Social Worker (RSW) with over 20 years experience working in a therapeutic role as a counsellor & clinician in mental health and substance use.
My Story
Both life coaches and social workers must meet certain educational and training criteria to be eligible for license, & both can help you cope with life’s problems within their scope of practice. There is differences in education, training requirements, and licensing based on location & associated governing body.
A key advantage of coach with a therapeutic background allows for a dual-trained integrated practitioner to work seamlessly across the whole spectrum, saving you time, money.
My calling and passion is helping people make change that has impact to transform their experience, and overcoming challenges .This is what led me toward transformational coaching, which in many respects is therapeutic, a co-active & transformative process creating intrinsic shifts, and empowering lasting change that is meaningful for the people I work with.

I believe in inclusivity, authenticity and agency. I believe in the power of becoming more aware of ourselves and making sense of the things that happen to us as means to fulfilling our innate potential. I believe that without exception we are always doing the best we can with what we’ve got, even when, perhaps especially when, we feel like we’re messing everything up. I believe that we could all do with a little help when we need to turn things around.

My practice is a relational stance with structured support that is engaged, positive, compassionate, optimistic, and considers a holistic lens — encompassing context , and other influences unique to the clients’ experience & understanding.​

My approach to coaching is integrated, prioritizing the relational stance in a dynamic and fluid process of conversation. Curiosity is my super power, and we will ride the wave of whatever may emerge, while holding to the directionality of conversations. The aim is a process of insight based learning, and developing clear vision, in a safe and transformative space.​

My goal is to support you in bringing forward and connecting to your intrinsic strengths, to challenge narratives that serve to limit you, and help you develop confidence in yourself, your choices, and connecting to how you want to choose to relate as you navigate the world - empowering choice and agency on your path forward.
